Friends Of The Earth

The Environment is for Everyone

We want a healthy planet and a good life for everyone on it. In fact we believe you don't get one without the other.

The Climate is Changing

Wherever you look, the effects of climate change are becoming clear. But with strong political leadership and changes in the way we use and produce energy, we can keep climate under control

The Big Ask

The Big Ask is Friends of the Earth's campaign on climate change. It encourages people to ask questions and take action. The Big Ask wants decisive action from the UK Government to tackle climate change. That's why we're calling for a law with annual targets to reduce the UK's carbon emissions.

Together, we're changing politics

The Government is listening: in November it announced plans for a climate change law. Together, we did that. In 2006 more than 130,000 people backed The Big Ask and an overwhelming number of MPs supported our climate bill.

What Now?

Our success is down to the support from people like you. Our next job is to make an even bigger noise and make sure the Government hears us as it makes important decisions about the law.

Join in and make it happen. Be part of something big

Over 1,800 people supported The Big Ask at last year's Wychwood festival. If you were one of them, thank you.

We will be at the festival again in June this year, so please feel free to come and say hello. However, if you are keen to support The Big Ask before then, sign up to Climate Online.
