New line up announcements...

We have announced a few more additions to the line-up for Wychwood 2008. The world music programme is steadily growing with the delightful Orchestra Baobab from Senegal- check out their recent album Made in Dakar for some irresistable Pan-African and Afro-Cuban rhythms.

The rhythms don't stop there! California based Dengue Fever will be bringing their Cambodian psychedelic rock or should that be south-asian psych-surf pop to Wychwood. Check out their recent album Venus on Earth ('****'mojo and '****' Uncut)

We will see the return of festival favourites Dreadzone, who kicked up a storm in 2006 and you have been asking for ever since. Former Delgado and now rising solo artist in her own right Emma Pollock will be gracing us with her beautiful vocals (check recent single Paper and Glue) and we'll be hearing the very exciting new project - School of Language - from Field Music member David Brewis. The album Sea from Shore is out on 4 Feb and is very much recommended.

Also returning to the festival after playing only last year (he liked it so much!) Robyn Hitchcock. He delighted us with the Venus 3 in 2007 which featured Peter Buck from REM and promises to bring new friends this year. Surprise us Robyn!

Last but not least two excellent bands, one which we have been following for a while, Misty's Big Adventure and a newer band on the scene, but no less polished Oxfordshire's Stornoway.
